President Gloria Nemerowicz, Ph.D.
Gloria Nemerowicz is founder and president of the Yes We Must Coalition: College Success for All, a non-profit organization of small, private, non-profit colleges and universities across the country that primarily enroll students from low-income families. The Yes We Must Coalition seeks to raise public awareness, share resources, collect data and fundraise in order to improve graduation rates for underserved students.
Dr. Nemerowicz served for 15 years as president of Pine Manor College (MA). From 1993 to 1996, she was the founding Executive Director/CEO of the Women’s Leadership Institute at Wells College (NY). From 1976 to 1993, Dr. Nemerowicz was a tenured member of the faculty, Dean of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, and Vice Provost /Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences at Monmouth University (NJ).
Dr. Nemerowicz is currently Board Vice President of the National College Access Network (NCAN). She was awarded honorary doctoral degrees by Marygrove College, MI (2012), Heritage University, WA (2011) and Pine Manor College (2011).
She is the author of Children’s Perceptions of Gender and Work Roles (1979) and co-author, with JoAnn Gora, of Professionalism in Unpaid Work (1989) and, with Eugene Rosi, of Education for Leadership and Social Responsibility (1997). She received her BA, MA, and Ph.D. (Sociology) from Rutgers University.
